Today we've released the first and hopefully only beta of Ant 1.6.2.
This release is not only a bug fix release, but also adds some features that a couple of people I know have been waiting for. To name a few:
- <junit>'s new forkmode attribute
- <style> supports a nested <mapper>
- <junitreport> works with JDK 1.5
- <jspc> is supposed to work with Tomcat 5.x although we highly recommend to use Tomcat's own version instead.
- XML namespace aware DynamicConfigurator variation
- An easier to understand handling of namespaces and nested elements of task.
- A <nice> task
- <jar> can index archives that are mentioned in the current archive's manifest in addition to the current archive.
- Composite and chained <mapper>s
